Within Reach is a small-group learning center for Pre-K through 5th grade students specializing in reading, writing, and math instruction. Since 2005, we have helped Orange County students build strong academic skills, close learning gaps, and grow in confidence. Our classes combine personalized, results-driven instruction with engaging, hands-on activities that make learning fun and meaningful.

For young children, one-on-one tutoring can feel like a lot of pressure, especially when they are already struggling or lack confidence. Small-group classes take that pressure off. Students learn alongside other children at a similar skill level, quickly realizing, “I’m not the only one!” They build confidence, learn from each other, and have fun. When kids enjoy learning, they are more willing to participate, take risks, and grow.

Every student works directly with me, the owner and instructor. I personally teach each child, monitor their progress, and adjust instruction based on exactly what they need. This allows me to truly know every student, not just oversee their program. I also collaborate with classroom teachers when helpful to provide even more individualized support. And while our classes are fun, every game and activity has an academic purpose. Students are learning the entire hour, they’re just having too much fun to realize it!

Learning is a marathon, not a sprint. Most students stay with us for 6 months to a year, while many choose to stay longer. The timeline depends on your child’s starting point, goals, and how far you would like them to progress. My goal is not simply to help struggling students catch up, but to have them leave Within Reach above grade level, so they are no longer playing catch-up. After your child’s assessment, I can provide a more individualized timeline based on their specific needs and goals.

Students attend twice a week for one-hour sessions. For the best results, skills should also be reinforced at home through weekly assignments and regular reading. The more consistently students practice, the faster they progress. My job is to be a catalyst for growth and improvement, but lasting progress is a team effort between Within Reach, the student, and their family. I’ll provide the instruction, tools, and support, but I can’t do it alone.
